Tracking a factory order - possible?

I'd love to track mine as well but the dealer its not reached zebrugge yet, ring back Monday! It was originally going to be 14/02 then 1st March, then 24th March but now there is confusion as when the dealer tries to track it it says it was in the factory for 12 mins! A right b*lls up. I have a VIN but doesn't look like there is a way I can track it.

Been told today that mine has landed at Zebrugee, so hopefully I will be able to pick up next weekend but they cant say for certain yet

My Vito arrived way before scheduled!

Picked it up today on trade plates so now in my garage until its registered 1st March!

Hopefully putting 2 + 2 together, is on the TOSCANA which is currently in ZEEBRUGGE.
As the last port of call before was BREMERHAVEN in Germany, which is north of Bremen where my car was built:

.... I have a VIN but doesn't look like there is a way I can track it.

I read on the MB USA forum, American customers who are getting European Delivery (they can, Brits can't!) , can track it as the ships that are used have online searchable manifests by VIN.

Congrats, it must be great having the van under lock and key. Under what conditions are the public allowed to do this by the DVLA?


The dealer where I'm buying my car, didn't mention the possibility when it arrived from the factory early this month and in different circumstances I'd definitely have liked to store it at my place. Next time maybe...

I just asked the question and it wasnt a problem. Means i can kit out the back before 1st March. He was glad to get it out the way and the cash in!

It has been assigned a registration but hasnt been registered with DVLA yet, so was driven home on trade plates. Merc even offered to use their trade plates to get it home.
