I have had the tracking adjusted by a well known tyre service. The merc specialist who services my w202 said that in order for the tracking to be adjusted properly it MUST go to a MB Dealer.

Surely this can not be the case as the national company that I took it to used laser alignment equipment.

Your thoughts and comments are most welcome

as far as i know , only a dealer can do it properly.

Agreed with fuzzer. I had my tracking done by a company with a laser tracker and it was worse than when I took it in. It cost me £200 for full alignment and setting the castor and camber. Took them nearly 2hr too, or supposedly anyway.

It doesn't have to go to MB - there are special tools for some of the adjustments depending on the car but that's it. Micheldever are quite capable of doing Mercedes and did mine last year.

My local indy told me they have to use a spreader bar (to push the wheels out, something to do with the power steering ?) before its adjusted.
