Hello guys, it's my first post (probably a ridiculous one by your standards, so be gentle). I'm interested in a c class 320cdi on a 55plate , there are 2 available on two different online sights however one is advertised with 7geartronic and the other apparently isn't....was also worried that the g-tronic has common issues!!!? Some early 7 speed boxes had conductor/electro plate failure.
Ask them any gear box repair history but don't let this potential problem put you off.
Had new electro plate on my CLK around 10 years ago and is all good.
Any second car has potential problems.

Pretty sure that will be the early 7g box, mine was.
But ask for the VIN and we can tell you easily enough.
Tbh, I have no issues with the 5g box anyway. Both motors are using them, a 2009 e class, and the 2014 Viano.
