TRIPLE QX 5w40 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil

My car is only doing 2500 miles a year and keeping getting oil change at Mercedes seems rather expensive. I noticed Europarts selling TRIPLE QX 5w40 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil , MB229.4 spec at a very good price. Has anyone used this oil and any opinions whether I should use it in my 10 year old C180k C class with 43000 miles.

As long as it meets required Mercedes spec it should be fine.
I think you would get a much cheaper price at a good independent Mercedes specialist. I would imagine at 10 years old it is out of all warranty cover, although I'm not 100% sure about that, so if it is the case by using a recommended independent you have nothing to lose.
