Triturbo OM642

Has anybody any information on what happened to this engine? I remember it being at Geneva in an SLK.
Bottom line i'd like to put on in my CLK which has an OM642 or modify it the same way.

Although I would have thought re-mapping/chipping would offer similar benefits?

I remember reading the original article and being impressed...

but , the new E350 CDI is actually more powerful then this these days. It's crazy how quickly things are moving on.
