By how much? The same with all oils? Were 'long life' oils tested?
Wouldn’t like say by how much, used it as technique for breaking oils in a shorter time frame saving time and money.
Not the same for all oils, some formulations were more robust than others.
Suffice to say without additional stresses, most oils could usually go double the standard ODI and remain in spec. With additional stresses, some formulations went out of spec before the standard ODI was completed.
I was not involved in the current generation long-life oils, especially the very low viscosity oils like 0w20. Low SAPS oils were just coming in when I moved into a different area of the business.
