Turbo or supercharger?

Very tempted to chop the E55 in against some turbo hot hatch for a bit of fun.
Not as nice on the motorway, but much more fun on a B-road.

What are you thinking about?
The Focus RS seems to be getting a lot of positive attention, but I find it hard to get excited about it.
Same thing with the Golf R. - It looks great on paper, but whenever I look at it I just see "another Golf".

If Nissan did a new GTiR version of the new Pulsar I might get excited again.

Totally not sure. I get very bored of cars quickly.

If I had a garage id have a daily beater and another cossie. Sadly no garage so no cossie. Even rear access would be nice but only a small gate.

I am enjoying the E55, I just miss turbo boost. Thing is, I'm a married 36 year old bloke, hot hatches aren't for me as such lol

Supercharger for me, performance more akin to a NA engine.

RR

Not in an E55K, it isn't. Not so much a torque curve as a torque plateau, not all that rev-dependent. It's just one long shove, and it just keeps on shoving; the M113K is one of the all-time-greats in engines, and I miss mine a lot.

Love that whine coupled with that animalistic motor noise. Thanks Lee. Two evil noises at work in perfect harmony. Epic.

Done that....didn't end well. Much preferred the E55 to the temporary foray with an ST-3. Probably fun if your young but the ST-3 wants to stick you in a ditch with torque steer which becomes wearing.....well it does when your 44!
