Turbo...

Koolvin discovered the Mosselman kit to be not so complete.

To achieve a not earth shattering power increase, Koolvin had to have a 5th injector a custom map sensor and of course have it all setup.

I recall he also found a lot of the kit poor and had many parts fabricated, like the way the intercooler was mounted etc.

EDIT: I could have sworn your other post was not there before I wasted my time writing that!

But that kit was used from someone in the States wasn't it?
Surely an outfit such as TDI would be more professional and supply a complete kit? They charge enough for it after all

I would have to agree. TDI is charging nearly £3k for the kit w/out installation. I thought all the kits would be quite similar and it's just the manifold that's different... Don't know...

Seems liek a better idea to go for the Taiwanese one then!

To drop the compression cheaply you could possibly fit two standard headgaskets.

Either that or there is a company called Ferriday Engineering that can make copper decompression plates or thicker gaskets.

Only problem with an engine swap I'd see is what it does to insurance as it can often be worse than just having the car with the bigger engine etc.

Whats insurance like out there?
