Two sets of Silver MB Dust (valve) caps

Hi,

I'm after silver MB dust caps. I don't want the lockable kind please.

If anyone has a set or can recommend a source, please let me know.

Dont bother with the metal one's i have some with merc logos on....Ended up having to get new valves as the caps had seized! (stick to plastic)

The dealers are the best source but pricey, ~£20 a set.

I always smear a little vaseline on the valve threads, never had any problems.

£9.40 a set with free P&P from this M-B Commercial dealership's eBay shop:

These proper M-B ones have nylon inserts for the thread and do not seize up.

I have used the seller many times, they also do the chromed indicator bulbs.

The Parts Counter have given me a couple of set of the ones Bill links to on ebay. I'm sure they said they were so cheap it wasn't worth the paperwork to charge me, so might be a good idea to call your parts desk to check prices.

Or better still, call in as they're about to close.

I went to a main dealer in Germany (near Stuttgart actually) after local scrotes nicked the ones off my Vito, and they'd never heard of these valve covers! Said they would have to order them specially!

Mrs BTB had to take the Vito to Kwik Fit (it was an emergency), and when they fitted a new tyre it came back with a nasty generic dust cap on that wheel
