Tyre pressure sensor

We are looking at ordering a set of winter wheels and tyres for my wife's 2013 SLK. It currently has tyre pressure sensors fitting on the manufactures wheels. Would it cause any issues to fit other wheels without these sensors? Will it constantly give an error message?

You will need to transfer over the sensors or fit new ones to the wheels otherwise you will get an error.

If yours is like mine just run the winter wheels without sensors and when the warning comes up click OK which deletes the error message for that trip. You will need to do that each trip.
When refitting the summer wheels the sensors will be picked up and display the readings.
