Does anyone know what tyre pressure i should use on my 2000 CLK (230k avantgarde) it has 225/40/18 all round.

Many thanks

have you looked inside the fuel flap? there's usually a sticker there with this information.

yeah there is a sticker but i thought it differed if you have larger wheels???

MB say it applies to any wheel/tyre fitted to the car
Yeah, same sticker for all models! :)

I didn't know that about being the same for any wheel fitted to the vehicle. I used think it depended on tyre profile, wheel size etc but of course it's linked to the weight of the vehicle.

If the wheel/tyre setup is exactly as it was when the car was supplied then the fuel flap is telling the truth. I asked this when I got mine and I was told different stickers for different wheel set ups. I did then go and mod the rears, dohh!. But, in any event, the pressures for the 225s' seem OK for the 245s'.

Portzy.

i used to run my 16" tyres on my mondeo at 36psi all round...

but my CLK running on 17" says 33 at rear and 30 at front
