Understanding IAT's and power loss

I dynoed my stock CLS55 (except for x pipe) and got 421 bhp. Really low figure. Its done 116K miles with 13 services. New IC pump fitted 2 months ago.

I just noticed that the air intake hose on the drivers side has a large hole in it, and on the passenger side, its quite loose, not fitting very well.

My question is.....would this cause a rise in IAT's??

Ive read on this forum that a high IAT causes the timing to be retarded at higher revs......which could explain why my dyno figs were so low. The torgue curve didnt hold flat and dropped off too quickly as the revs increased.

Any thoughts??

Attached is the stock dyno graph.

I dont have any experience with cls but warm air is less dense than cold which would also mean less fuel in so less power. On top of that warmer intake air has a higher risk of pre detonation so the car probably takes some timing out to reduce power and protect the engine from knock.

amazing stuff gaffer tape but I think the other places dyno could definitely be reading low as well best thing to do is timed run at the Pod tbh it's not uncommon for slightly shady tuners to dyno your car before make it look like it's a bit crap go oh we can look at that and do a map for you then on the after map they show you the new improved run showing a big increase. Why it's important to stick to places that have a good reputation I also used AMD in lakeside and can confirm they are useless on AMGs tried to flog me their generic map and they couldn't even dyno the car properly as it wouldn't pull past 4k even though they knew about dyno mode. Also I had geo done by them they put the alignment bolts in the wrong way which caused excessive camber on the fronts -3 degrees despite their kit showing it as -2 degrees and then they didn't put my new engine undertray on properly which got ripped and cracked on a speed hump. (although they did replace this at the time.) The camber bolts and alignment I didn't find out about till much later when I hit a pot hole and had to have the whole thing checked after two tracking places near me gave up and went to ex F1 suspension guru NW of M25 who was amazing (not cheap) but he sorted it all out put the bolts in the right way so they actually engaged and aligned the entire car correctly and compensated for our shitty off set camber roads, he also balanced all the wheels properly came to couple hundred by was well worth it.
