Unwanted links appearing on Google

For the last week or so Google has been storing shortcuts to searches on the Google home page (screen shot attached)


Searching on line to stop this hasn't provided a working solution. On out laptop and Chromebook it is easy to turn this off.

Any solutions gratefully received

I would rather just turn off whatever setting is causing these shortcuts but cannot find anything for mobiles only desktop Google.

They are called quick links.

Hold your finger down on them and you should get a settings menu. switch it off.

I can remove them individually but no option to turn off.

Settings > Home page > Switch 'off'

Homepage is off already

Switched homepage on (it was off) and it seems to be fixed

Now back again regardless of Homepage settings.

I deleted all settings and reset Google as the default browser and homepage and all seems well6
