URGENT! W124 suspension collapse

total was about £170 in the end to replace the 1 balljoint. I actually paid a further £30 for use of the courtesy car (£10) and for them to check over the suspension in general. This prooved cost-effective as they told me the drivers side BJ looked quite new-ish so i shoudlnt need to replace that. If i hadnt got them to look into that, i probably would have paid an indi over £100 to replace it in a few months time, just incase.

i'd be interested in photos, info etc on this job as i would like to do this myself next time i need to. also what and where you got the tools to do the job...

cheers!!

E280 Coil cup corrosion - £300 to fix?

Hi, I am not very experienced forum user but posted yesterday to ask if £300 to fix 1 o/s/f coil cup was expensive. I got one reply to say yes, shop around.
Folks on this thread seem to know suspension - anyone got good advice on how to approach getting coild spring sorted. Indie tells me it needs to go to body shop to but cut off and new one fitted. Shall I hunt around and get better price?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

£300 to weld on a new spring cup is too much.
