Following an email to customer services MB Stuttgart, I have now received a call from someone who knows!

It wont work in my car; 2018 MB models have a tie-in with Apple so through the Appleplay app, those can use their Iphones with the car. Android is not supported full stop.

Also, my car, although registered in 2018 is a 2017 model & Audio20 will not support the function iphone/android/any phone full stop.

I did question why the system shows Internet when you can't access it but got no response.

I'm going to see what happens when I sign up to the "internet radio" function, but I can forget anything else.

Shame but there it is.

My previous 2017 SLC had Apple Carplay and Android both working with Comand system. MB are talking crap because they don't have a clue.

My 2017 R172 with audio 20 5*1 has carplay (tested) android (untested) and internet apps (crap)

Isn't that a slot just below to the left of the On button for the "special" lead from your phone?

Hi Tomham, but Comand is a different system to Audio20?

It also works with Audio 20. But you need smartphone intergration installed or a third party OBD. Any 2018 car should be able to be activated.

Some. Do you have a USB slot with a "smartphone/tablet" symbol on it?
