very nice sportline e320 cabrio

8 previous owners

That's not unusual for this type of car. Always someone with more money than sense wanting a toy for the summer and selling it on rather than storing it over winter. The older one gets the less it changes hands too.

I was lucky enough to find a 2 owner car but all the others I looked at had at least 5 owners and usually more.

Only ever saw one E320 sportline cabriolet before though and that was in the last 3 weeks. Well worth the money

I am surprised it's that common. My perception is that most of these cars were bought as new for long-term use. When I was looking for my coupe, I only looked at one car with more than 4 owners, and I think I only heard of two with more than 5.

For its age, 8 owners is not surprising, but for a W124, I thought it was high.

However, I don't have any specific experience of cabriolets, so I will defer to one with greater knowledge.

e320 cabrio

I like the ebay Q & A regarding the history......M.O.T's all the way back to 1999 ! WOW and serviced between 65000 and then 113000 miles. Not surprised its had an engine rebuild.

considering all the work that has been done to it recently would in my mind negate the previous stuff.

It's a 1994 car so it wouldn't have needed an MoT until 97, they are all present since 1999, two missing in 9 years - not really a need for a sarky WOW was there?

it's a 320 cabriolet, there aren't many around, it's got an engine that's done less than 20,000 miles there are even few of those around, it's been looked after by it's current owner and the work done more than makes up for any neglect in the past.

OK it wasn't dealer serviced for 50k but then neither has mine and that doesn't need a new engine as I do all the work myself, it's not unreasonable to assume that is what happened to that one

Apart from the fact it's silver I see a cracker of a car there which is well worth the money :)

service history? I'm not that fussy if the car looks, drives and sounds good and more importantly the seller comes across as an honest person

320 conv.

Well....strangely no bids as yet for the "No Reserve" but starting price of £10850, 320. Perhaps the old M.O.T certs didn't convince any prospective purchasers to part with their hard earned ? Still, day and a bit to go....who knows.

It's all the money though, given it's done a few miles, and there's no full MBSH, plus the full respray is a bit of a worry.

I'd see that car at £6995...

Be warned any parts for sportsline suspension are atlest 3 times the price of normal parts.
