very nice

I went to see this car a couple of years ago when it was for sale near Ringwood, Dorset.....it originally had a Mosselman twin turbo set up on it, but it ran like a dog....the turbo set up is now missing judging by the photos

Bodywork was poor and the front suspension was making a very nasty noise....

Is this the one that was on ebay? Im sure it sold for under £1k?

nice car allround though, you have to remember these W124's are made to last (provided there well looked after) and are amazingly strong and over enginered if any of you have scene the Fifth Gear episode were they bought one of these W124 estates for just £695 and did STRONG tests to it and it still turned out fine. If you havnt scene it i strongly suggest everyone does its up on youtube in 4 parts:

Don't know about the cars condition but the turbo kit worked very well :)

Just been keeping an eye on this one. I find it quite suspicious when the bidding goes from £510.00 to £750.00 in one go!

I've heard that people get their mates to bid just to push up the price, I think this smacks of this sort of thing!?

How that car ended up:

Bidding has ended....... I'm sure it had longer to go, and now it says '0' Bids....?? Weird.

This has most likely happend if the seller has retracted the bidding therefore cancelling all bids !

Gearbox failed and so the car was withdrawn. Adam may re-list it in its current state or perhaps try and find a replacement box for it.

For what its worth, having bought my twin turbo kit from him via ebay, he's a very genuine bloke and someone whom I would recommend as an honest ebay seller.

Thinking back a while now, but how much did you pick that kit up for in the end? And did have you now got it up and running?

Kit was under a thousand as I remember and the car is running, although not much is left of the original Mosselman stuff, manifolds only in fact.

Car now has a Motec 600 ecu, 2 x Gt28rs turbos, ERL water injection, chargecooler and assorted other goodies. All of which are in preparation for a "built" AMG 3.6 engine and box which I hope to have installed, run in and driving in the next couple of months.

Been a long time coming but I can finally see an end in sight........not sure 550 bhp and a w124 are going to be a good match but I'm sure finding out will be fun :)
