Any idea where i can get info about my VIN Number on the web?.(14 digit).Main dealer not very helpful !!.Thanks.

What sort of info are you after ?

You can find basic info on the web, or some companies that will charge to give you a full vehicle history, based on the VIN.

I'll post some links to VIN checkers shortly.

Incorect VIN lenght

If you enter sequence that is shorter then a marks VIN can’t be decode by VINChecker application. According to ISO 3779 VIN is made up of 17 alphanumeric marks (last 4 marks are numbers). In this correction you should enter completeVIN again and try decoding a second time. You shoud pay attention VIN must appear as one string without any spaces and I, O letters.

Seem's that pre 81 vehicles are difficult to put through the normal VIN decoders,due to these looking for 17 digit VIN's!!.
