Not sure if anyone can help but I have a super hub and a 60Mb connection and works great on the wired side ( my computer) but every day I have to take the power lead out to get the wireless to work ( I mean that my phone finds it but won't connect even though its saved ) this is also the case for my wireless printer and phone and two new laptops. I have had the router replaced by virgin and they say you either get a good modem or a good wireless. So if there anything anyone can think of or should I just buy a new modem/ router ???

Thanks

Paul

Have you tried moving it etc? Made a huge difference for us. Its still not as good as our net gear router but its good enough anywhere in the house.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using MBClub UK

have tried a couple of places but still the same it sees the wireless network but wont connect untill you rebook the modem

The wireless component of the virgin super hub is useless-just use another router for wireless and bypass the virgin wireless(we have connected to d link and wireless is good)-lots of info on virgin website on this

I'd recommend getting this: AirPort Extreme Base Station - Apple Store (UK)

and disabling the wireless settings on your router, much better - the wireless range and reliability of the superhub is appalling imo

This is exactly my setup, and I always obtain a reliable rock-solid connection on all devices in the house.

Also, by experimenting with the Airport Extreme plugged into different electrical sockets around the house, I discovered that I got much higher download speeds on some sockets compared to others. The AE was subsequently plugged into one of the better sockets.

well thanks guys for the ideas have got two wireless units so when i get my next days off will have a little play and hopefully will get a better wireless distance as at the moment it's crap

Mine did something similar until I played with the wireless channel and eventually found one that worked fine and I've had no problems since.

When i spoke to virgin they did say chamge the channels but i tried a couple as if i do a scan of my local area theres quite a few so i'm now on CH2 as then i only get a little crossing over from the other networks around me.
