Any help please?

I have a Visseo-MB-2 & I-phone 3GS.

Sometimes the MB2 and the i-phone seem not to connect properly.

If the phone is connected properly (BT has paired & synced etc) and I get out the car for petrol (engine off. Take phone in pocket with me). When I get back in and start the car....The phone and the MB2 do not want to either:

a) Pair up. Phone see's MB2 but says "not connected"

or

b) They pair up but do not sync address book and/or calls etc.

Yes, I have waited several minutes to see if the eventually catch up.....After 20 minutes they haven't.

I have the latest 4.3.1 FW on the I-phone.

I have tried without success to upgrade the FW on the MB2.
Downloading their updater and drivers from their web site & using the special cable provided. The Update fails every time (tried on two computers) it seems unable to see the device.

Annoying as you always want that phone at the point when you notice it has failed to connect.

There are 2 seperate updates, the main processor (uses special USB -> serial adapter cable) and the Bluetooth (uses USB to mini USB)

For the main processor update, you probably have the wrong serial port selected in the flashing applicaion

For the Bluetooth update, you have to wait until it flashes and press the top button - this puts it into update mode. Never ever disconnect the PC during a bluetooth firmware update - you will kill the device - just wait for it to finish even if it seems it has stopped.

Steve. I am trying to avoid switching he phone on and off. Hence why I was hoping that this may be a FW upgrade issue. But thanks for the tip.

Richard. Would you happen to know which port it should be. It defaults to COM1.

Also I am assuming that I should only connect one cable at dependent on the update I am trying to flash? With the CPU cable the Viseeo unit does not light up?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Richard

My friend had entrusted me with the task of upgrading the firmware on his Viseeo MB-2 that he was having muted call problems.

I had absolutely no joy with getting the Bluetooth USB driver to install on my Windows 7 PC, I did manage eventually to get it loaded and the unit recognised on an XP machine. The first upgrade attempt froze a 15%. I was dreading disconnecting because I familiar with bricking device with failed flash. Well it was OK the first time this happened, I got the 3 flashing LEDs and tried again, this time it froze at 17% and I was not lucky this time the 3 LEDs remain on permanently :-( Do you know of any recovery sequence / procedure that I can use to get the device back into a bootloader mode so I can re-flash? Many Thanks
