Hello
I have a question about a container which is situated in the engine bay attached to the engine on the passenger side right next to fuse box

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=59540&stc=1&d=1472839092 http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=59541&stc=1&d=1472839092 http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=59542&stc=1&d=1472839092

I can't find it in any of the manuals or operating instructions , the dip stick is dry on it and i have no idea what goes in to it , what i should use to refill it .
Thank You
Regards
Kris

It looks like the power steering reservoir, or at least the cap and attached dipstick are similar to those on other MBs. Look in your manual under power steering, it should have something. It will certainly tell you the correct fluid to use.

Might be worth investigating why it's empty too.

Thank You Stratman
It's not dry dry , just very very low , i got the van couple of weeks ago , lady who owned it did not care much about maintenance , just fuel and go , i don't think that it was ever refiled from new as with the other fluids in the van , i will investigate further if there is no leaks , steering is smooth no notches or squeaks hopefully all is ok with it .
Thank You

It is indeed the power steering pump reservoir Qdlaty/
