Vito, leaking steering rack

Vito Rack.
Can any one tell me correct powersteering fluid for the my 54 vito 111.
The rack is leaking through seals into rubber gaiter.
The currant fluid is the standard red ATF but mercedes have told me it should be the clear fluid but were unsure.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is the fluid spec. not in the handbook?

No handbook with the vehicle.
No help from Mercedes.
Been told if the wrong type of fluid has been put in it can effect seals!!

What service history does it have?

It is probably the green fluid called Pentosin. Euro car parts sell it under teh Carlube brand
