Vito momentary misfire on starting

Hi

I'm new to the forum and have had my Vito CDI111 2006 camper for around six months. 164k.

Over the last 2/3 months the glow plug light came on and it developed a misfire on starting from warm only which lasts a second or two then it clears and idles as normal.

Had the faulty glowplug replaced today but its still doing the misfire on start up, which I'd hoped might go away at the same time. Its liveable with but I'm wondering what might be causing it and if its a sign of something else needing attention, now or in future.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Is the glow plug light staying on more than normal ?

Hi - thanks for the reply. It was staying on for around 30secs after the engine started, which is how I knew there was a glowplug issue. Now the glowplug is replaced its not doing that any more.

The next time its warm and misfires I will double check but I don't think its coming on then either. Certainly doesn't when it starts normally (just checked).
