Vito W639 Ignition problem

My key fob will open the van but the ignition won't turn.

The ignition recognises the key fob as the dash illuminates but I can't turn the key. Tried another Mercedes key in ignition and dash doesn't light up.

Checked fuses and found a 15A blown but don't know what that fuse is for or even if they are connected.

Minutes before the van had been driven and then this.

Any suggestions?

Its a common problem apparently... I found this "Mark@Vitospares" that claims he can fix it.. dunno worth a punt surely
