I am thinking of either having my 500sl air-con regassed or converted to R134 from the current R12 gas.

Any recommendations which way to go?
I believe that you cannot get R12 anymore but my understanding is that there are 'drop-in' gas's that work okay without any change to the current (standard) air-con set-up.
Who can supply and re-gas the car with this?

Alternatively it could be converted to R134 by an air-con specialist. I am in Essex any recommendations which company to go for?

Ideally I do not want to spend a fortune on it but would like it back working.

I know that there are many people who could do the work for me, but I would rather go with a recommended company from here.

Anyone??

We can do this for you. A new receiver drier and valves normally will do the job in the most basic form.

If you want to give me a call to discuss as there are a few things that you must be aware of.

Thanks Olly, for your time on the phone today :thumb:

Yes ive done all my cars... Although im a bit **** and so I replace the receiver drier and also the condensor as at this age they always leak.
Then I fit the adaptors and use the conversion oil supplied with the kit...
Then you have to add a lot of new oil into the system along with the refrigerant as the new parts mean most oil will have been removed.

Although if Olly is doing it then no point in explaining all this as he will do it...
