W115, Brake Caliper help. Where to buy?

Hi Chaps,

Any idea where I can get hold of a brake caliper? My Drivers side front is beyond repair, so need one. Im based in Midlands.

Any MB dealer will be able to order them , but may be pricey . MB Poole ( formerly Jacksons ) are MB Classic parts specialists for the UK .

Alternatively , Eurocarparts should be able to supply them .

Also the likes of DB Depot or SLS ( both companies are in Hamburg ) , or Heinrich Niemoller in Mannheim will be able to help .

Depending on the brand either £50 or £65 from Brakes, brake discs, brake pads, brake calipers - Brakes International Shop

They also do rebuild kits as do Bigg-Red.

Thanks for the link dieselman, unfortunately the part was availale in their catalougue, but having emailed them, its not available from any of their suppliers.

Will get the chassis number tonight, and see how much main dealers are charging for this.

You should be able to get a recon caliper from any motor factor. Which caliper anyway?

Its the front drivers side (right hand side) I think its a budweg, not sure if its ATE or Bendix, but having just called up the main dealer its super expensive!!

any ideas then chaps?

I just bought a set for my W115 240D, in the US, rebuilt ones are readily available. Hit me up on the www.stroke8.org forum. If it will fit in a flat rate box, I can ship it at reasonable cost but I need to know exactly which type you need as there they changed styles.
