Hi All,

This is a really silly one, but on my newly acquired 220 the wiper spindle securing nuts are inexplicably missing, giving me comically mobile (barely usable) wipers.

My MB main dealer is having difficulty sourcing them, the part number is A0029902651 and can be seen as no. 92 on the top diagram:
Êàòàëîã

Has anyone a pair of new or used ones available or can point me to someone who has?

Thanks in advance. :)

try here:

Mercedes-Benz Parts, Inchcape

unless you have a very poor dealer though there isnt any reason why they couldnt get it for you.... unless its NLA

if it is NLA just get the right sized component from B&Q to fit it - its probably only a washer or a nut at the end of the day.

Thanks for the link Silver Saloon - I'm a newbie only just getting used to the fact that you can still get stuff for a 40 year old car from the manufacturer - wasn't quite the same for my Rover P6, Vauxhall Magnum, etc....!

Cheers Jonny, I'd send you a PM thru the forum if I could work out how... can drop me an email to 'jonnee at gmx dot net' please?

Aren't they just metric threded 13mm nuts?

A trip to almost any scrap yard should yeied said nuts?

A belated update -tried standard fine pitch (brand new) metric nuts and they don't fit...
Niemoller list the 'correct' part but at €9.44 each! So if anyone can better that price (new or second hand) please get in touch!
Cheers

Sorry I should have said - it's there on the website alright but all I got was an
"Unfortunately the parts requested are no longer available" email followed by a refund (same story from local main dealer), yet still 'available' on the chuffing database.
It's embarrassingly stupid that I can't get hold of such a simple part... er nuts.

The w115 and w114 have the same part numbers for that nut.

Thanks for the link Graeme I'll see if they can point the way.

I tried a couple of both M14 & M16 Fine Pitch from Stig's: About Stig Fasteners, the 14 was too small hole, the 16 was too large outer diameter for the plastic covers.

jonnyboy as previously mentioned I can't see why W114 ones wouldn't be the same - if you wouldn't mind emailing me at 'jonnee at gmx dot net' I'd appreciate it!

jonnee email me your address and they are in the post :)

it would be well done if i had received jonnee's email :(
