W123 Road Trip

Hello All

I am planning to take my W123 down to Stuttgart in six weeks time.

The car was serviced last month and has a new battery, spark plugs, filters and tyres and I also intend to pick up a distributor cap, rotor arm and HT leads before I set off.

Any thoughts on what else to put in shopping trolley before I depart?

Any recommendations, spare parts or otherwise, will be appreciated!

Sounds good, ahhh ya can't beat a roadtrip!!!
Usually find a good length of electrical wire, pair of pliers, screwdriver and adjustable spanner, covers just about everything that can be fixed roadside!! Join, short, tie-up, remove.... etc etc.. Enjoy!!

Id get all the brakes checked out.. Id also carry a set of fan belts.

Otherwise, its a W123, course it'll be fine!

How many miles has your car done in the course of its life? Im pretty sure an extra 1200 miles to and from Stuttgart will be nothing for this car.

Dont stress, just get in it and enjoy the drive.

For the record, it is a sub-80,000 engine so not a lot for W123.

Jaymanek – thanks, will pick up some belts. New discs + pads on the front in 2011.
