W123 wheels on W126?

I'm about to become owner of a 280se W126. I have an unemployed (and bascially, scrap) W123 280CE which has 14" alloys with quite decent 195/70 tyres on.

Will they fit the W126 saloon? The Big List of Wheels lists the W126 with 14x6 wheels (among several others) but since it doesn't list the W123 I can't tell if they're the same.

If I'm not mistaken, the 14" Mexican hat or bundts on both 123 & 126 have similar offset - ET 30.

126's run on 205/70 VR14 on 6.5" wide, whilst the 123 are on slightly smaller 195/70, usually lower speed rated HR tyres and 6" wide if I'm not mistaken - haven't had them out of the garage for a while after I had 15" wheels, for a better choice of tyres.

So the short answer is yes.

the W123 ones are mexican hat from a 280CE. Got 195/70 on them currently.

You won't have any issues as yours being a 280se is the early 126 with smaller brake discs.

same for w107 as those off w126 models for better ride than the thinner w123 variants

well it's got some quite decent 16" on it with a nice set of Pirelli tyres, so wheel swapping is on hold for now. (not sure what tyres, quite low profile though)

might keep the 14" ones as a backup though
