I have a 90 and 91 200e and 200te respectively. The TE is not running as it should, there are a couple of possible problems, but before I go too far can someone tell me whether the following is correct?

The engine temp sensors are on the top of the engine at the front on the right hand side - BUT on the 200e the one nearest the radiator is a 4-pin sensor, and the dual sensor (single pin and dual pin) is behind. On the TE they are reversed - is this significant in any way? The TE will not rev much over 4,000rpm when under load - it's as if the engine is choking up, full throttle at high revs is a no-no!

It's actually the other way round - i am stupid! The TE has the 4-pin nearest the rad!

The position of the sensors does not matter, they are all inside the same jacket.

2 things come to mind, fuel starvation through clogged fuel filter or one pump US. (not sure if the 200 has one or 2 pumps) Could be the fuel pump relay that do suffer from cracked tracks on the PCB or bad soldered joints
