w124 300e AMG kitted

It does look like a nice car and the seller comes across as ok too. There isn't the same amount of exageration as you often find with these cars.

How wierd....about 2-3 years ago I went to have a look at this car when it lived in Dorset.

At that time it was suffering from a head gasket problem and despite some negotiations on price the guy selling the car sold it to a guy in Newcastle who probably bought the car unseen off e-bay.

The car then came up for sale again last year and I spoke to the vendor, but he was vague on whether the head gasket had been sorted and he was asking far too much money for the car.....the head gasket has obviously let go since then, as the write up on the car now states that its been done.

Bodywork wise, it was starting to get frilly around the edges, ie arches, jacking points, bonnet

Hmmm.....not far from me.....

Looks quite an alright car, not perfect but then what car is? If the price is right and all that!

Must be worth a look Gina..... ;)

By the way, are you coming to the 'Prestige' Do?

I have to say, I know where I would rather be. But flying not my thing I'm afraid.......... Very Afraid! I've done quite a bit of driving in North & North-Western Spain, fantastic roads there...... Enjoy! :)

We have driven the past 5 years from Roscoff all the way down to Marbella, this will be the first time we're flying! (flown before obviously, may even be going Cyprus next week too!:D )

Sorry....I'm sure you won't miss me!:) I'm sure there are plenty of others going!

If you go to Spain again, you got to try the Pont Aven from Plymouth, I've done it a few times, then rented a car in Spain and drove down to Portugal. Brilliant trip! :) :)

And the Pont Aven really cruises, 30 knots! Great fun when the surf is up! The top bunks kept on popping out of there slots in the ceiling and banging up and down, eventually just left them down to stop them waking me up. And it's a nice ship, better than the Bilbao I have to say, and Santander is a real nice town, usually stay a night there before coming back.

Anyway, enjoy your trip, and stay safe. ;)

Ciao. :)
