This car was on ebay a few weeks ago from the same seller for £9000 and got no bids.
I went to look at it when it was for sale at Merc-Care for £10500 and thought then it looked tired. It had a full service history but it seemed that services were the only care the car got, I didn't get the impression it had been looked after at all.
Just my opinion but I think he's also playing down the rust issues, it was bad enough to make me to walk away. Oh and the sag in the drivers door was quite pronounced, as was the sag in the drivers seat. That said I've certainly looked at worse examples at higher prices.
It didn't have the Avantgarde grill or the twin tailpipes when I looked either but nor did it have the scuffing on the lower nearside body panels. I also think it's had new wheels because when I looked the tyres were ok but every wheel had been curbed.
It's a good buy for someone who is prepared to spend maybe £1000 on it. But I cant help wondering why he's prepared to take more than a £2500 hit in depreciation in 6 months.
