This and that.
One of the central air vents in my coupe needs fiddling with. A couple of the vertical air direction slats have come adrift from the control knob thing, so I need to remove the vent to reattach them.

I know there's a retaining screw on the left hand edge of the vent, which would usually be accessible with the glovebox open. But my car has a passenger airbag, so how do I get to the screws?

TIA

The passenger airbag assembly is held in by one long bolt accessed via a long hole in its moulding from underneath. You may need a long 3/8 extension to get at it. The whole assembly can then be slid forward. Before removal be sure to switch off the ignition disconnect the battery and any connection links and leave for several minutes. Be extremely careful when handling the airbag and store it such that if it was to go off the bag expands into free air.
