W124 central locking unit

hi

i'm currently wiring in a new keyfob module/alarm type thing. I need to know what wire on the main central locking module is the one that is the central locking door open/close signal. apparenty it needs to be the wire that goes from the central locking module to the drivers door....?

here is a pic of my module. if anyone can advice i would be really grateful!

IIRC yours doesnt have an electric lock in the door... the wire you want is located at the central locking pump under the seat...

i have done a few of these a few years back.. just find the one that goes live when you lock the drivers door..

thanks for all advice and help.

thanks to Grober's link i managed to find the green wire i needed to tap into. Remote central locking now working with new keyfob. Now all i need to do is get the blade cut.

Reason for doing this was i only have 1 original Merc remote fob - apparently if you lock the car and then the fob breaks (which they apparently often do) the car is immobilised. so since buying i've been manually locking the doors. £30-ish from ebay bought a nice fob from here:

after buying i recieved about 2 days later (send recorded 1st class), with fitting instructions for my model + little sticky Merc logos for the fob, + blank merc style blades. Fitting instructions are a bit vague, but all ends well with help from the guys on this forum!!

if anyone is interested in a how-to (sorry i wont have many pictures) i can do one - if so just reply saying so.

not really sure why.... ok looking thru that thead u posted it looks like that particular seller was a bit bad, but the guy i purchased mine from was very fast delivery and responsive to emails. + the item seems to work fine - original fob still works aswell.

Your picture does not show the central locking unit, it show the comfor relay for the electrical windows and the roof hatch.

4fh + shd means 4 el.windows and el. roof hatch.

Why did you want to hack into this?

I installed alarm with central locking control, and i tapped into the blue wire from the drivers door to the central locking vacuum pump underneath the right back seat.

Do you use the key to open / close the windows?

i was confused.... i've now located the pump and plugged into that.
