My 1992 300ce24 rear suspension is squeeky when at slow speeds. It has self levelling suspension. The reservoir is full with clean fluid. And thereare no leaks. The squeek is also evident when the rear of the car is pushed down by hand. Could this noise be bushes etc. Any hints tips as to what to check for. I am going to put it a lift at work tommorrow to have a look underneath. Thanxs.

Got exactly the same "problem". I thought that's the springs or shocks?

I didnt know that coupe's were self levelling, I always assumed it was for the estate and the 500e.

I think it was an option when new. IBW had a 124 200 saloon in the other day with SLS.

In some markets[ not the UK] I think you could get a W124 with self levelling front and back- hate to think what it cost as an option.

P.S. In 1990 the rear self levelling option in the coupe cost £638.91 inc vat

Mine was sqeeking prior to the MOT, and it was a split anti-role bar bush. After some swearing to change them no more squeeking. I'm running hydraulic self leveling suspension all round. I've just fitted Pro-Flex uprated bushes throughout now and it doesn't corner like the QE2 anymore.
