w124 indicator/horn unit friction contact how to repair ?

hi I have just purchased a new replacement horn friction contact for my w124 ..has anyone ever fitted one ?

does it need soldering or is it held in with brut force ?

need to get back together to pass my mot

the indicator unit assembly has 2 spring loaded contacts on it to make the horn work, one is broken and jams in steering assembly so manage to order the part but its is not obvious have to get it out and replace ?

I know is dull to ask again but are you talking about the piece inside the steering wheel?If so I have one
As for the meet,I`ll try to convince a local boy to come as I`m of the road for the moment

popped into local merc dealer who pushed it out ..simple when you know how
