Surely easier to just buy a LHD ?

I have seen to done before on a 210 . The car was changed from LHD to RHD and the engine was changed from a 250 to a 300 .

I would imagine that it would be simpler and cheaper just to sell your RHD car and buy a LHD equivalent - unless it was a rare AMG E36 or suchlike .

Apart from the obvious changes to steering gear ( different steering box needed ) , new dashboard , moving pedals , wiring loom would probably need changed - or a lot of wires extended , door mirrors changed , tail lights changed , headlamps changed .

Unless you have a LHD donor car to get all the parts from , it is going to be costly .

At least the windscreen wiper is symmetric .

Buy My 500e. Cheaper then to convert . Lol

Acid.

Theres a W124 LHD Pre-facelift one around the corner from me for sale infact!

Well, that's the thing. If the conversion costs too much, then yeah, I wouldn't bother.

I was just after an approximate figure, because I've heard it can be done, but don't know for how much.

You can pic up a 500e for around 6k. Or the better one over 10 k

If that's any help

Sorry to ask this but why?

Sorry to ask this but why?

I'm pretty happy with the spec of the car, and was thinking to export it to my home country :) So obviously, I would prefer if it was LHD.

500E's are out of my budget at the moment, but would love one 1 day...

I actually prefer driving a RHD car when abroad.......

We keep a RHD W124 in Italy. No difficulties at all. If anything its easier to position the car on the narrow minor roads. If you are happy with your car I cant see the point in changing.

On some Country`s,you can`t register a rhd car

Got a reply from the company....£3000, including labour and parts, lol

Looks like I'm going to leave it as it is for now. And yeah, I'm from Latvia, and they don't register RHD cars there.

Just buy a 400e in germany

Its quite common place for people to do this in Poland at the moment. I have heard of a few people doing it themselves in a weekend.

Oh yes. its about ~£1000. Depend on parts needs swaping and a car.

Alright, in that case might be worth asking a few Polish guys, maybe they know someone...

Cheers
