W124 luggage cover and net

Shude,
I have sent you a PM.
Thanks
John

Firstly, the VIN you gave me appeared to have an extra digit in it, which I removed. This left me with a datacard for this car: E300TD, delivery date 21/08/1995. I thought yours was a 250TD! Interior is 265, mushroom leather, which sounds right to me.

I looked up the roller blind, with your VIN as a filter, guess what:

A1248600075[8F30] : ROLLER BLIND : EUR 446.29

8F30 is the interior trim code for a car with 265 mushroom leather.

What a bargain! ;) The fact that it exists on the DC parts computer tells me that you could walk into a stealership and order it if you wanted, the part number is still valid and they probably have stock.

Please can you confirm your VIN for me, it should be:

WDB124xxx2Fxxxxxx or something :)

Please don't order anything until we can confirm it because it's an expensive mistake to make if it's the wrong one!

told you they were expensive, don't forget that's the ex vat price as well. Ours took 10 days to arrive when we ordered it (or rather when the insurance company ordered it) from the dealers.

That is the fully inclusive price if bought from a DE stealership, including their VAT which is similar to ours.

Many thanks Shude,
The 250TD is now hers and the 300TD is a new acquisition and mine! The 250TD is a 1989 and immaculate in metallic smoke silver with light brown cloth and just too good to sell, but is manual and slow when hauling whole family on long trips. It now replaces her VW golf estate which is rusting from the inside out (so it is not just modern Mercs that do that!) for local use. The 300TD is Tourmaline green metallic, auto, has leather, and that bit more power! I deliberately sought it as one of the last of the W124s because I did not want the problems and costs of the W210. It has needed a few items tidying up (the luggage cover being one) to bring it up to the standard I want, but I am nearly there! I'll post pictures when I am! I will check the VIN tonight, but the data you brought up sounds correct. Thanks Graham for the pm regarding your load cover. I am chasing a second hand one at present, but if it turns out no good, I will certainly be in touch!
Many thanks
John

It has a stack of other options too, the datacard looked great! :)
