Hi,

I'm not much satisfied with the view on the mirror of the driver side door. I usually need to turn my face back to be sure that no whicle is approaching. How do people handle this on w124s. Mine is a flat mirror (other side is convex and I have no problem with it). Are there convex - or part flat / part convex- options in the market ?

Regards

Sounds like you have the incorrect mirror fitted.

Firstly, no W124 I have seen has convex mirrors. Secondly, the mirrors are designed specially to get around this problem by being completely different sizes.

Are your mirrors diffferent or the same size and shape?

My guess is that someone in the past didnt like the look of non matching mirrors and has swapped your drivers side mirror for one off a RHD car.

Sp!ke,

It is the usual un-symmetric w124 mirrors but I cannot get the comfort on my golf's flat mirror.

Last year I've seen a "part flat & part convex" type sticking mirror glass for driver side but as the heating would be non-functional I did'nt buy it. I wish I did.

Sorry , are we talking about a mirror for a Golf or a W124 here ?

A 124 obviously, he just said that it's not as good as the golf :)

There are lots of different mirrors for MBs, combinations of heating/dimming/USA ("objects in the mirror...")/convex/LHD/RHD etc. Probably a few pages on the EPC, I will look them up.

Won't be quite as impressive as 109 different rear diffs for the w202 ;)

Sorry Shude, where does he say that, he says that he has standard w124 mirrors, but then says he cant get comfort on his golfs.....

i can't find anywhere where he says 'its not as good as the golfs' can you point me in the right direction please ........ ;)

one moment we are talking 124 mirrors, the next golfs, thats why i asked .....
