w124 problems Please help!

not resulved yet im affraid.ignition modual has been changed for ebay one but no change .rag soked with petrol in the inlet manifold made her run better and down to 2000rpm. do the fuel actuators stick shut? would this provent her from ticking over?can i test with the part removed and a 12v battory?thanks for all your time!
 
going to look for an airlock today,air control flap drops so im not hopefull i will find one but there is alot of vacume control on these motors!worth a look!
 
gm255,you were correct!masive vacume leek!remembering what you had said i took yesterday off to check for air leeks and shore enough i found that the air idle control pipe from underneath the pellum chamber had popped off!re attached with jubalee clips and she started str8 away!i feel so stupid.i didnt know the pipe was there and in haynes they mention it but no drawing so wasnt till i felt about ,that i found it.thanks alot to all that helped me on hear .i have learnt loads about ke jet and ezl ignition.hope i can return the favour to one or more of you!

Glad you got it sorted flower man! If you can post up a pic of where the pipe is located in case any future posters have the same problem! :thumb:
