W124 Refurb Starting Soon, Need Paint Advice

Hey people, need some advice regarding this project.

The car is a 94 E280, Blue/Black over grey.

The car is having quite a bit of body work done and is then having a total respray.

Do I keep it original or go for something else?

All Blue/Black perhaps, maybe paint it obsidian?

Thoughts and ideas would be warmly recieved!

Keep it original it will resell better and blue black is a great colour

Whilst MB leave hidden areas - ie engine bay and boot - in a flat finish or grey, the work involved doing every door reveal, behind the cladding or trim in a different colour, whether gloss or flat, would probably be prohibitive.

Little would devalue a quality respray more than clear evidence of that respray.

Keep to the original!

Take a look at some of the other restoration threads. Del320s and RBYCCs cars are superb!

It was Del's thread that hammered the nail in the coffin! There will be lots of pictures, got my wings ordered, just waiting on a few prices for other bits! Oh and a lovely wood and leather wheel.

Blue/black is a nice colour + if you decide to go for another,it`ll be a lot more work.I`m gona have to change the colour on mine,cos is some crap blue.I`m gona go for black but is so many out there,so not easy to chose.At the moment i`m thinking about 040.
