W124 roof lining question...

My current roof lining is grey in colour and i want it to be black.

The current material is similiar to the vinyl on the doors so im wondering if i can be painted/dyed/connolised?

If not, then ill just get it re-trimmed.

I've had good results on vinyl trim, though not a headlining, with Halfords own brand aerosol vinyl paint. It came in black and two shades of grey. There's also a cleaner that you use first.

I used it on door cards and dashboard. It was a messy job but it gave a fine finish that was still looking good three years later.

I was thinking it would last pretty much forever as the headlining is never touched!

Am going to take mine out when it gets a bit warmer and hopefully do that then.
