Hi, I'm after a replacement seat base for my 96 w124 cabriolet. The seat is heated, electric leather if it makes any difference

Do you want it because the springs are broken?

I've been looking for a near new seat for years. I've given up and ordered the spring box, seat frame and pads new from MB. You can buy a Heavy Duty option (for the spring box and pad) to help stop the dreaded seat sag in the 124's.

The leather covers are no longer available from MB as far as I know, but I think other members here have received decent ones from D-class in the past??

Is the car a keeper, or is it just getting a birthday - ready for sale...?

Hi, cheers for the reply! Just been to the stealer today but couldn't get a defo price! Asked for the seat box price but they couldn't tell me the difference with the hd box. How much was everything you bought if you don't mind me asking? I'm busy fettling the car in general but the saggy seat is giving me backache after about 20mins driving so needs sorting!

The reinforced spring box has to be fitted with the reinforced pad, but, AFAIK the leather cover will fit over them and doesn't need to be replaced. I have the part numbers somewhere if you are interested. About GBP400 for the pair, then you need to fit them...

Edit: Here is the picture and prices for the Reinforced seat base parts.....

I need to contact shanksy who posts on here but can't do so direct as I haven't posted 30 times so far so cannot pm him. Can anyone pm him for me or ask him to get in touch as I think he has a few parts I need. Any help would be great.

You'll find new W124 seat bases on ebay.de on a regular basis
