W124 self leveling

The rear end of my W124 TE looks to be jacked up with large gaps over the rear wheels. I assume this is some form of self leveling problem. I do not understand how the system works and what to look at first. Any advice appreciated.

Take it to a good indy , they should be able to set the ride height for you , the reservoirs for the rear hydraulics can be fiddley .....
