Hi All,

I sourced this steering wheel and the back looks different to the original wheel.

I'm wondering if I can take parts (ie all those copper rings) from the original wheel to make them fit the new wheel or not?

Does anybody know?

And a pic I snaffled from another thread but didn't make any sense of. Is it relevant to my question? What's a squibb?

I'd be grateful for any help. The new wheel is absolutely lovely and needs to be fitted!

I wouldnt try to alter the wheel, just get the contact plate (squib) from a breaker.

Thanks Carat. So the squib is the contact ring component.

With a little more comprehension I did a bit of searching this evening and found this page. It's finally making some sense to me. It looks possible.
