I've just bought a set of 16x8j et34 wheels from an R129 to use on my W124 estate, and was wondering whether the standard wheel bolts currently used on my standard 15s will work o.k?

If anyone else is using wheels the same size on a w124 I'd be interested to hear your experiences, any tramlining issues etc and which tyres would be best for them.

Thanks,
James.

Alloy wheel bolts are longer than the steel wheel bolts. Bolts for non genuine wheels are likely to be different too. So if you have two sets of MB alloy wheels then there is a good chance they are the same.
Not sure that 129 wheels have the correct offset for a 124 though?

I checked the offset on the link from the sticky in this section and it indicated they would fit. Both sets of wheels are original Benz made by Ronal. I think the same wheels were standard fit on the w124 E500.

I'll give it a go with the standard bolts when the wheels arrive.....and one of my rear jacking points has been welded up.

Thanks.
