Did you tell him all E500,s are LHD also.
Of course he could always stick a false steering wheel on the other side of the dash with a bit of bluetack just to complete the illusion. Why do people do the "stick on badge" thing. The best high power motors often remove their badges for the incognito effect.A few subtle clues from the engine note, how the car sits on the road, aerodynamic body modifications and raw performance etc says it all . Understatement is what its all about as exemplified by the new VW golf advert.

Why do people do the "stick on badge" thing.

I have never understood this false badging thing: pretending to be a V12 when you are not is IMHO as tacky as plastic flowers or putting two spoilers and a "sports edition" badge on your two-stroke Wartburg! it's fake and it shows..

I have seen this car many times, going back to when I was in college!! Those lights have always been iffy and spoilt what is otherwise a fine looking example.

It does look mint, I have never seen it dirty either to be honest!

Just to add, dont know them/family etc.

It'll be interesting to see what it makes given that the tints will probably knock it back a bit now.
