w124 zebrano vs walnut

Whats the difference between zebrano and walnut? I have seen more walnut cars than zebrano but not sure if the later was a specific option or spec or did it cost more?

Just wondering as mines zebrano...

Zebrano was standard fitment. Burr walnut root was a cost optional extra.

Zebrano was standard. Walnut was extra but I think the cabrios might have had it as standard. Mine has zebrano. I think the walnut looks better but the zebrano seems to keep its finish better.

I seem to remember that circa 1991 walnut was a £250 upgrade option on W124s.

Zebrano seems to be a popular grain now and I see a lot of zebrano style wood trim not only in new Jaguars and BMWs, but kitchen units as well!
