W126 Grille

ive never been a fan of grilles with the star in them but i quite like this one for some reason :S ! i know somebody who has this on their W126 and it does look quite nice as oppose to the standard grille....! i am quite a fan of the avantgarde grilles too as had one on my W202 before........... opinions please

I guess at the end of the day it's personal preference. I don't think it will look right but hey it's not my car

Mines got the standard grill and I think it just works better, more is less as they say!
As an aside the quality of the chrome work is just superb for a 22 year old grill...not a blemish along with the rest of the bright work

Instead of changing the standard grill, why dont you try taking it apart and spraying the grey plastic black?

IMO the star grill looks ridiculous

i'm in limbo wanting, or thinking to spray my 124 inserts black too.

Not sure though. May want to go actual 'avantgarde' still.

Yeah spraying the inserts will be a lot cheaper too. I've never like the star in the grille either really but for some reason kind of like this on :s haha. What colour should I spray the inserts tho :s.

I vote original grille. Never liked that other type myself, ruins the proportions imo. Your car looks gorgeous by the way.
