w129 to 124 fitment

hi guys, would wheels of an sl (129) fit a 124... the wheels are 8j, and a 31 offset,, tyre sice 245/45/18,, if so would they rub on the arches etc. thankyou..

The wheels will fit, but the tyres are totally wrong. You'd be best off with 225 40 18's, you might get away with 235 40 18's.

I cant speak for the diameter but they are a little low on the ET that is around 40 for the 124

The wheels must be the 18x8ET31 AMG II. Using 225/40R18 all round, there shouldn't be any clearance issues and since they are the AMG II style wheel, should look in keeping with the car too.

nope, the offset is right, as the wheel gets wider, the offset needs to reduce

I've got 8J R129 wheels and they fit just fine with no rubbing - 205 tyres on the front and 225 on the rear
